1. About this beta
Hashcade is an independent experimental project in beta testing. It combines manual arcade gameplay with participation in a configured Bitcoin mining pool. These Terms describe this deployment, its accounts, games and reward administration. They do not govern independent wallets, internet providers or external mining services.
Beta software can fail. Bugs, interruptions, lost progress and incorrect provisional results are possible. Mining costs are real, rewards are uncertain, and mainnet Bitcoin is real money even during a beta. Read the risks and limitations in section 10 before committing equipment, electricity or time.

Availability is subject to the rules that apply in your location. The beta label does not establish an exemption from gaming, prize, mining, consumer, tax or financial laws.
2. Eligibility and authorized use
The minimum age for this beta is 18, or a higher age required in your location. You must have legal capacity to agree and be allowed to use the service where you are. Do not use another person’s equipment, electricity, wallet or mining account without permission. Access must not be used to evade applicable restrictions. The current registration form does not verify age or location; any checks required for public participation must be established before that participation is offered.
3. Your account and recovery
Creating a new account requires a separate, unchecked Terms acceptance box. The version shown, a fingerprint of the documents and the acceptance time are recorded. Optional usage analytics has its own unchecked choice; declining it does not prevent registration. Existing accounts are not retrospectively marked as accepting these Terms.
Choose one available username; it is also your initial public player name. Reserved usernames cannot be registered. Keep your password and recovery code private. A valid recovery code can restore access, rotate that code, reset the password and sign out other devices. Save the replacement code when prompted. Optional email is a contact field; email password recovery is not currently available.
Without a valid password, recovery code or an existing authenticated session, recovery is not guaranteed. Use the support contact above if access is lost. Do not share credentials or impersonate another player. You remain responsible for your authorized use; these Terms do not make you automatically liable for security failures caused by the service.
4. Games, points and mining costs
Practice does not earn reward points. Ranked access requires active accepted mining work under your linked mining identity. Mining consumes electricity and equipment capacity and may incur network or pool costs. You bear the costs you authorize; rewards may be zero and need not cover those costs. Hashcade does not promise a block, a profit, a fixed return, a particular exchange value or uninterrupted mining.
One verified game score point contributes one era point. A saved game loses 5% of its score per day while resting, compounded, including elapsed downtime; the corresponding era balance is adjusted. Pause offers five seconds to continue. Otherwise the game is saved and you return to the lobby. Shared worlds continue operating, with game-specific exit rules shown in Controls. A saved game is displayed before its three-second resume countdown.
An era closes when the configured pool block event is processed. Current era points reset for the new era; sealed results remain recorded. Provisional scores, estimates and rankings can change during validation. Points are a gameplay measure, not Bitcoin, deposits, legal tender, transferable tokens or an investment. Points cannot be exchanged at a fixed rate.
5. Block allocations and rewards
Rewards depend on an actual qualifying block, verified pool records, controlled block proceeds and reconciliation with the configured Bitcoin node. A lobby score or sealed era by itself is not proof that spendable funds exist. The allocation base is the verified proceeds controlled for that block, including transaction fees where included in those verified proceeds; it is not a quoted Bitcoin price or a hypothetical block value.
| Share | Allocation |
|---|---|
| 50% | Verified registered block finder. Playing a game is not required for this finder allocation. |
| 10% | Players in proportion to their verified gameplay weight at the era cutoff. |
| 35% | Participants in proportion to their reconciled accepted mining work for the era. |
| 4.5% | House allocation. |
| 0.5% | CKPool gratitude allocation, calculated from the whole verified block reward. |
If the verified finder is not linked to a registered account, the finder allocation goes to the house. An unresolved finder holds reconciliation; it is not silently treated as an unregistered finder. A gameplay or mining bucket with no positive qualifying weights remains unallocated. Rejected shares do not earn mining weight.
Amounts are calculated in whole satoshis. Bucket rounding is accounted for in the house remainder; weighted buckets use largest-remainder allocation, with account identifier ordering to resolve equal remainders. The CKPool allocation is 0.5% of the whole verified block reward, separate from the 4.5% house allocation. Previously sealed eras retain the allocation rules recorded when they closed. The Miner page displays a provisional estimate using current weights and the node’s block template, or the subsidy alone when template fees are unavailable; it does not create a claim or a guaranteed entitlement.
6. Network, claims and payment
- This server’s network
- Bitcoin mainnet
- Payments
- Disabled
- Required confirmations
- 101
- Minimum individual claim
- 1,000 sats
Regtest coins are test coins, not mainnet Bitcoin. Payment activation is separate from recording an allocation. A claim becomes available only after the block meets the configured confirmation threshold, funding and source checks pass, the distribution has been reviewed and approved, the allocation reaches the minimum and payments are enabled. These are service requirements, not a guarantee against a later chain reorganization.
Use Block Rewards to choose an eligible era, review a receiving address on the correct network and explicitly confirm. Supported destinations are native SegWit P2WPKH or Taproot addresses on the configured network. A saved profile address alone does not request payment. The destination is locked when a claim is accepted. Never provide a wallet’s private key or seed phrase.
The current policy pays the full eligible allocation and covers transaction fees separately rather than deducting them from the player’s allocation. Smaller allocations remain recorded; the current software does not combine them across eras or provide a claim-expiry rule. Processing time depends on reconciliation, manual review and payment processing and network conditions; no guaranteed payment date is offered. The status shown in Block Rewards distinguishes an allocation, a claim and a recorded payment.
Check every address carefully. Bitcoin transactions generally cannot be reversed by Hashcade; payment to an address you do not control may be unrecoverable. This does not remove remedies for a service error or rights that applicable law protects.
7. Verification, holds and disputes
Conflicting pool events, unresolved source records, chain reorganizations, insufficient verified funding or suspected manipulation can delay or hold a reward. Any investigation should be proportionate, preserve relevant evidence and explain the issue where lawful. A reorganization can invalidate an unpaid allocation. Already broadcast transactions cannot simply be undone; accounting and any resulting dispute require separate review.
Report a disputed score, allocation or payment to the support contact above, identifying the era and, where relevant, the public transaction identifier. Do not send passwords, recovery codes or private keys. Use the support contact to request human review and an explanation of the outcome. A hold is not an unrestricted right to confiscate a legitimate earned entitlement.
8. Fair play and community conduct
Play manually. Do not use gameplay bots, manipulate verified inputs or mining records, exploit bugs for points, interfere with other users, impersonate staff, steal accounts, evade restrictions or coordinate fraudulent rewards. Ordinary mining software is distinct from prohibited automated gameplay. Report vulnerabilities responsibly rather than using them for gain.
Hashcade may apply proportionate restrictions to protect the service, investigate abuse and correct demonstrably invalid credits. Where practicable and lawful, reasons and an opportunity for review should be provided. Suspension or account closure alone does not cancel valid unpaid rewards; disputed or unlawful activity may require a separate hold or lawful remedy.
9. Profile content and software
Upload only profile content you are entitled to use. Do not upload unlawful, abusive or misleading material. You retain your rights and grant the person maintaining Hashcade limited permission to store, resize and display your content as needed to provide the service and its requested profile features. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorize unrelated advertising use. Software and game assets remain subject to their applicable licences.
10. Beta risks, losses and responsibility
The beta is provided on an “as available” basis. Features, game balance and technical requirements may change; access may be interrupted or discontinued. There is no promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, a successful block, profitable mining or any particular reward.
- Bugs and data loss: crashes, failed upgrades, security incidents or recovery failures may lose accounts, saved games, scores, history or settings. Provisional scores and test progress may need correction or a reset. Planned resets should be announced where practicable. Keep your recovery code and independent wallet and transaction records.
- Mining and participation costs: electricity, equipment wear, connectivity and the time you choose to spend can be lost without earning a reward. Participation does not include a promise to reimburse these costs or compensate for missed blocks, opportunities or expected earnings.
- Reward and Bitcoin risks: software or pool faults, stale or rejected shares, inaccurate estimates, insufficient verified funds, chain reorganizations, transaction delays, compromised credentials or a wrong receiving address may delay payment or cause financial loss. Bitcoin prices can change, and a broadcast transaction may be irreversible. A displayed estimate, provisional score or pending allocation is not a guarantee of payment.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, responsibility is excluded for purely speculative profits or rewards that were never validly earned, exchange-rate movements, and losses caused solely by independent wallet, network or infrastructure failures outside the reasonable control of the person maintaining Hashcade. This is not a blanket exclusion for failures of the service itself.
Rights that the law protects remain protected. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer remedy that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited. Reasonable-care duties remain applicable. No arbitrary compensation cap or waiver of all beta losses is imposed.
A beta reset, account suspension, shutdown or change to these Terms does not by itself cancel a valid unpaid reward or authorize rewriting a sealed allocation. Proven errors, fraud and chain reorganizations are handled under the verification and dispute rules above. This beta notice does not make a real mainnet payment a test transaction.
11. Leaving, changes and taxes
You can stop playing and sign out at any time. Use the support or privacy contact to request account closure or exercise privacy rights. Closure is distinct from erasing records needed to administer a lawful reward obligation or resolve a dispute. Reasonable notice of material service changes should be given where practicable; urgent security or legal changes may require faster action.
Published Terms should carry an effective date and notice of material revisions. Economic changes should apply prospectively and must not silently rewrite sealed allocations or remove mandatory rights. You are responsible for reporting and paying taxes that legally apply to you; the person maintaining this beta remains responsible for any reporting, withholding and tax duties that apply to them. No individual tax advice is provided.
12. Contact and governing law
Use the support and complaints contact in section 1. Applicable mandatory consumer rights and access to competent courts or regulators remain available. The governing jurisdiction, permitted regions and any required dispute-resolution information must be confirmed before publication. A choice of law cannot remove mandatory rights that apply to you. This draft does not claim licensed status or a legal exemption.
This draft describes the beta. The responsible person, contact details and deployment facts still need confirmation and review before publication. New accounts must actively accept the version shown at registration. Acceptance does not replace the remaining publication review.
